Wheeeee....
...is the sound of wedding plans being made (with a little help from Mr Google and Mrs Broadband). Admittedly we're still short of a cook or two, but other things are falling neatly into place: flowers; decorations; cake; wedding licence; honeymoon; there's even a longlist of hymns (which currently includes When A Knight Won His Spurs, because that contains ogres, dragons, knights and castles - all key ingredients of a good wedding) At this rate, we could be all organised by Christmas, which would give us time to relax and enjoy life for a bit, which sounds just dandy.

the cheltenham "division" of the granny army seemed quite happy to assist in your cooking dilemma, subject to availability, you know how quickly these retired people get booked up...
I like that hymn.
I don't know that hymn. Can I come to the wedding so I can learn it?
Screw that. Can the wedding come to me so I can learn it?
The wedding would love to come to you. Perhaps some sort of geekery could bring you a live feed of the shenanigans...?! Or we could book a magic carpet for the reception?! :-)
I found the words at this website http://www.blythpower.co.uk/lyrics/Better/knight.htm
I'm sure it's a Come and Praise Primary School special ... can we have No.4 - Autumn Days?
Karen and Craig can even play it on their recorders ...

What about this one...it might fit with your weeding blog not your wedding blog - hmm, not too sure! We used to sing this at school!
Verse 1...
Cauliflowers fluffy and cabbages green,
Strawberries sweeter than any I've seen,
Beetroot purple and onions white,
All grow steadily day and night.
Chorus:
The apples are ripe, the plumbs are red,
Broad beans are sleeping in their blankety bed.
Verse 2...
Blackberries juicy and rubarb sour,
Marrow fattening hour by hour,
Gooseberries hairy and lettuces fat,
Raddishes round and runner beans flat.
Chorus:
The apples are ripe, the plumbs are red,
Broad beans are sleeping in their blankety bed.
Verse 3...
Orangey carrots and turnips cream,
Reddening tomatoes that used to be green,
Brown potatoes in little heaps,
Down in the darkness where the celery sleeps.
Chorus:
The apples are ripe, the plumbs are red,
Broad beans are sleeping in their blankety bed.
I have no idea in my head of even when your wedding is, but i have a food hygiene cert and can travel if you're stuck on that sort of a level!
oh, but genuinely, i can do sausages... although if you're planning anything really fancy i'll un-volunteer!
Ta for the offer, whoever you are! Hopefully the sausage cooking is in hand, although I've yet to hear for definite. Fingers crossed, though...
